Description
A Demonstration by Mrs. Chieko Mihori, Director of the Sogetsu Florida Branch, and Coordinator of Sogetsu North America (East Coast).

Continuing with our 50th year celebration, I.I. Boston Chapter # 17, members enjoyed a dramatic demonstration by Mrs. Chieko Mihori, Sogetsu Master instructor and East Coast Director of the Sogetsu School.

Mrs. Mihori completed an astounding fourteen creative arrangements. Utilizing the concepts from our updated textbooks and taking the up-coming holidays into consideration, each graceful and colorful flowing design emphasized various textbook combinations, including contrasting or harmonious colors, space, mass, repeating shapes of the container or materials, dried and bleached materials and curved or straight lines. The variety of leaf and branch materials and flowers was unending. Many of her arrangements had two or three themes combined in one.

Her warm and friendly presentation was a pleasure to observe and we are grateful for the opportunity to be present for the creation of so many exquisite arrangements.
