Floral Exhibition, Elm Bank Horticultural Center
Location: The Education Building, Elm Bank, 900 Washington St., Wellesley, MA 02482
Date: May 30, 2009 - May 31, 2009
Our exhibit was held in the Educational Center building on the site, and our chapter presented 15 flower arrangements from the Ikenobo, Ohara, Sogetsu and Ichiyo schools. Each floral display demonstrated the variations in the philosophy of the schools. Docents were present to welcome the viewers, answer questions and give Ikebana International information to those interested in Japanese flower arranging.
It was exciting to observe visitors as they entered our large bright room and express awe at our outstanding display of contrasting and harmonious colors, abstract and traditional designs, single arrangements and individual large exhibits on long tables.

It was with great pleasure that our Boston Chapter participated in the Massachusetts Horticultural Society Flower Show at Elm Bank, Wellesley, MA on May 30 &31.
