Members from Ikenobo, Ohara and Sogetsu Schools made 32 arrangements to represent Ikebana International Boston Chapter. There were large Rikka Shimputai arrangement by Linda Clarke and Madhu Agrawal from Ikenobo school, two floor arrangements, one using bamboo, Montesera leaves, heliconia and forsythia made by Sogetsu School's Kaye Vosburgh and Gilbert Moore, second floor arrangement made by Hiroko Matsuyama of Ohara school, using Mitsumata, orchid and Camellia. President Madhu Agrawal also made a welcome arrangement using Quince at the entrance of the show.

In the curriculum corner, members of Ikenobo, Ohara and Sogetsu Schools each presented their basic arrangement as a way to educate the public. Information on how the arrangements were made were posted next to these arrangements. This special corner was very well received.

Tomoko Tanaka showcased the grace and beauty of Ikebana to appreciative audiences in her demonstration from Sogetsu School during the show. Thirty members served as docents during the 5 days of the show.

We were honored by a visit to the show by Mr. Akira Muto, the Consul General of Japan in Boston.
