The chapter met to attend a demonstration by Ohara School Grandmaster, Ingrid Luders. Forty chapter members were present, along with nine guests and the Consul General of Japan in Boston, Mr. Rokuichiro Michii.

Grandmaster Luders made eight arrangements. She show-cased many Ohara specific arrangements from their curriculum. They were Rising Form, Inclining Form, Radial Form, Landscape, Bun-jin, Hana-Kanade and Rimpa Style and a Free Style arrangement. Many interesting materials were utilized, dried wood, blueberry branches, monkshood, lotus root, pomegranate, drangoneye pine and Fall foliage.

Her last arrangement, Rimpa style, was made in three suibans in a line with multiple kenzans. It was to represent the Rimpa School Style painting of the Edo period.

The audience was captivated by Grandmaster Luders extremely professional presentation and her knowledge of the Japanese language and culture.
